chicory root latte

A healthy alternative to coffee. Help regulate your hormones and calm your nervous system with this deliciously creamy and sweet hug in a mug!

Chicory root is known for it's ability to help the liver in the detoxification process. It can help with digestion, regulate appetite and reduce risk of gastrointestinal disease. 

Healthy fats like coconut butter or ghee strengthen the immune system.

  • 1 tablespoon roasted chicory root
  • 2 cups of water
  • 2 tablespoons ghee, coconut butter or butter (if tolerated)
  • 2 pitted dates
  • Fresh nutmeg (nut or powder)
  • Cinnamon powder

Place chicory root in a cooking pot and cover with water.

~ Bring it to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer for 2 minutes.

~ Turn off the heat and let it steep for 10 minutes.

~ Strain and transfer to the blender, then add the ghee, collagen, and the dates.

~ Blend for 30 seconds.

~ Grate some fresh nutmeg and cinnamon- enjoy.
